Each school year consists of two semesters to enable students to take general courses intensively term by term. Academic English, Japanese, Social Studies, Science,
Mathematics, Art, Music, Physical Education and Computer Studies are offered. An ESL program is also available. After completing Junior High School, students may go on to the CIS Senior High School program, or may wish to enroll
a high school in North America.
We provide our students with the opportunity to learn in an international setting where the common language is English. This brings in the communicative aspects of learning, as well as allowing the students to share their own culture and learn from others directly. We endeavor to instill in our students an acceptance of other cultures and to create an international mindset that will be necessary in our future leaders. There is a rigorous attention to the educational fundamentals (three R's), as well as opportunities for social, physical and creative development. Above all, we wish our students will develop a positive and proactive attitude, with a zest for life and all the challenges it has to offer.
We encourage our students to communicate with teachers and students in schools in Canada using the Internet and other technologies. This gives students the unique opportunities to not only communicate with others from all over the world but also acquire the counseling for university entrance.
